What is MSK PRP Therapy?

PRP treatments (Platelet-rich plasma) use the platelets in your blood to regenerate the tissues in your target areas.

The platelets are injected near the site of the injury where they will stimulate the regeneration of tissue and encourage increased blood flow, collagen production and nerve sensitivity

MSK PRP treatments include a tailored consultation, treatment and follow up with Yasmeen, our advanced nurse practitioner and expert in PRP therapies.

What happens during the treatment?

First, numbing cream is applied to the target areas.

Blood is collected from your arm and put into a centrifuge where the different components of the blood are separated out.

After 15 mins, the blood is removed from the centrifuge and the platelets collected, ready to use.

The platelets are then injected into the target areas where they will begin to regenerate the tissue.
