FAQs

  • Weight loss injections contain medication that supress hormones that are responsible for appetite and hunger. At CCC we prescribe Mounjaro (also known as tirzepatide), which targets two hormones: GLP-1 and GIP. Supressing GLP-1 helps you to feel fuller, sooner, and reduced your overall appetite. GIP slows the passage of food through the digestive system and reduces blood sugar levels.

  • Clinical studies have shown significant weight loss, with patients losing around 26% of their body weight in 84 weeks.

We have plenty of real life examples from patients who have changed their using this method of weight loss.

  • We prescribe Mounjaro, which is taken once a week as a small injection.

Our GPs will show you the safest and most effective way to administer the injection and are on hand if you have any trouble.

  • Possible side effects include nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, reduced appetite, and indigestion.

If you find yourself struggling with any of these, just reach out to one of our GPs who will help you manage them.
