PRP Hair Loss Treatment Birmingham
At Complete Clinical Care in Edgbaston, Birmingham, we offer clinician-led PRP hair loss treatment for men and women experiencing thinning hair and selected forms of hair loss. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) uses platelets from your own blood and is injected into targeted areas of the scalp to support hair follicle activity and hair density. Because hair loss can have many different causes, every treatment begins with an individual consultation to understand your symptoms, medical history and whether PRP may be appropriate for you.
PRP hair treatment may be suitable for men and women experiencing thinning hair, reduced hair density or selected forms of pattern hair loss. It can be considered where active hair follicles are still present and may be used as part of a personalised approach to supporting scalp and hair follicle health.
Because hair loss can have many different causes — including genetics, hormonal changes, stress, illness or nutritional factors — every patient should have an individual assessment first to understand the likely cause of their hair loss and determine whether PRP is an appropriate treatment option.
Initial consultation is £75 | Sessions are £250 each

What Happens During a PRP Hair Loss Treatment Session?
Your appointment follows a simple clinician-led process, from your initial assessment through to treatment and aftercare.
Consultation & Scalp Assessment
Your clinician will discuss your hair loss, medical history and treatment goals before assessing your scalp and suitability for PRP.
Blood Sample
A small amount of blood is taken from your arm, much like a routine blood test.
PRP Preparation
Your blood is placed into a centrifuge to separate its components and prepare the platelet-rich plasma for treatment.
Scalp Treatment
The prepared PRP is carefully injected into targeted areas of the scalp where thinning or reduced hair density has been identified.
Aftercare & Follow-Up
You’ll receive personalised aftercare advice and your clinician can discuss whether further sessions or follow-up reviews may be appropriate.
FAQS
-
PRP may be suitable for men and women experiencing thinning hair, reduced hair density or selected forms of pattern hair loss. Suitability depends on the cause of the hair loss and whether active hair follicles are still present.
-
The number of sessions varies from person to person. Some patients may be advised to have a short course of treatments followed by review appointments, depending on the extent of hair loss and how they respond to PRP.
-
You may feel some discomfort during the injections, but treatment is usually well tolerated. The scalp can feel tender or sensitive afterwards, and your clinician will explain what to expect before the procedure.
-
Downtime is usually minimal. You may experience temporary redness, tenderness, swelling or mild bruising around the treated areas, but many people are able to return to their usual activities fairly quickly.
-
PRP does not produce immediate changes. Hair growth and density can take time to assess, and results vary between individuals. Your clinician will review your progress and discuss realistic expectations as part of your treatment plan.
